The modal age has to be like 1-2 years old. Somalia is literally a society of kids.

In theory tribal/extremist militia groups could probably recruit forever, this well isn't drying anytime soon, unlike the MENA region which is starting to age more.

This is good. This means that majority of our population in the coming decades will be made of people contributing to the economy.
From a capitalistic point of view, companies target young adults because they are more likely to spend more while elderly people are in retirement and hence a burden to the country since they don't provide any value.
I am glad we don't have population pyramids like Japan or South Korea. Their populations will halve by 2100.

Somalia has about 760k births per year. Factoring in Galbeed, NFD, Djibouti you get around 1.2 million a year.

By this decade, there will probably be more Somalis born as Russians in the world. Pretty insane.

The Government needs to teach men to provide and treat their wives well, or women will not be incentivised to have many children.

Somalia needs to work on curbing infant mortality rates. Serious focus on health education and services along with sanitation can be a huge difference. Security would also go a long way in ensuring the young population. While we have a lot of youth, a lot of them don't live to their prime. If the diseases don't kill them then clan violence will. We have a long way to go before we can take full advantage of our young work force.

Somali men back home, do not treat women very well. Bear with me when I say this, I am not referring to a prevalance in physical abuse, but there is a lot of bad parenting, emotional neglect and financial neglect. Not all, but it's true. In addition, Somali machismo culture is driven on who has the most children, and that includes a lot of neglect and lies. A lot of Somali men back home can't even afford to feed one family, yet manage to have multiple families. This is financial abuse to say the least.

If Somali men were less neglectful and prided themselves on treating their first families well, they'd be the best Muslim men on earth.

This is not to say that Somali men are inherently evil, but it's what our culture values. When Somali men go back home, they are encouraged to remarry, despite not being able to afford it and they even go as far as to lie about having more than one wife.
This is not to say that Somali men are inherently bad, but our culture has many problems and one of them is that neglectful men are protected by society, not shunned by society.

Sexism is a worldwide problem though, it's not exclusive to Somali culture.

Who are this children who love their mothers, does it not include boys who grow up to be men. We are taught pradidise is at our mother's feet. What man will not die to protect his mother.

The ones who remarry and lie are absolute scumbags. That's not an honourable man and not what the deen teaches.

I am more than happy to denounce shítty and abusive men. But to brand us as cattle owning slave holders of women is something I vigorously disagree with. Because that is not the reality.
