Background info

A historical and monumental moment was the 2013 Somali New Impact Conference held in September 2013. This is when millions of money was pledged for countless improvements in all aspects to improve lives and livelihoods by injecting money into lots of projects to lift the country up.

It was crucial moment. It is when the cash was pledged for the urban infrastructure of Mogadishu, Hargeisa and Garoowe.

The cash will also be used for improving road networks, ports and airports throughout Somalia.

Somaliland got a Special Arrangement within the Somali Compact presentedly jointly by the FGS and their pro FGS administrations and Puntland and Jubaland who were invited separately.

Puntland's insistence of Jubaland presence in yhe conference paved the way for their administration being cemented as Hassan Sheikh fought hard to stop Jubaland from taking off.

Of course in the historic Somali Conference in Brussels on the New Deal Impact who could forget the cutting of the remarks of President Faroole and later apology.

Mogadishu and Hassan Mahmud try to prevent President Faroole. Ahmed Madoobe was dragged along by Faroole.

One of Faroole's sons filmed thd speech on his phone which forced the EU to apologise and send a HD version of his speech along a apology letter.

Really bizzare. The Mogadishu and Southern Somalis were saying he was never given the floor ot made a speech.

That is why they hated President Faroole so much.
