There is heightened tension after SL tried to arrest Caaqil Hoolif, the elder who told them to leave. SL defence minister from Sanaag also tried to mobilise men to join the SL war effort, but he was told that they would rather fight on the PL side.
SL soldiers from Gambadhe have been brought back to Lasanod to reinforce the town and control its agitated residents.
