Somaliland Election Results for Sool: Lascanood District, Xudun District, Taleex District, Caynaba District

Sool had a good turnout overall. 300 polls spread across 4 districts.


Lascanood district Voter Results

- Large turnout of 31k voters
- Total 13 Xildhibaan
- 5 Waddani, 5 Kulmiye, 3 Waddani
- Young Elected officials
- Close Split between Waddani & Kulmiye with high turnout for UCID

- 7 Kulmiye and 2 for Waddani

Taleex District, Sool
- Total 9 Xildhibaan
- 6 Kulmiye and 3 for Waddani

I have heard the kulmiye have done really well in Hargeisa too with a lot of their candidates being elected for the local council and also that mooge and Barkhad Batuun have being elected as well.

I always suspected kulmiye would do better then most people and so called experts predicted, as the opposition parties and candidates never offered anything other then, it’s all muse bixi and kulmiye’s fault.

The only thing that held kulmiye back was the mayor of Hargeisa who everybody hates, including the president and insha allah will not be elected again. I think Sciid Jammac Cali from kulmiye is most likely to be elected as mayor.

The elections had a great turnout and were fair according to all international and local observers. Barkhad batun has huge support. Thousands were voting for him and many people are vocal for him online. He's from a historically marginalized clan but Somalilanders are good people to everyone of their countrymen

I don't know about Cirro he seems weak, vague and he hasn't laid out any policies, the only thing he was saying is, I'm against anything Kulmiye do, like the Berbera deal...

Muse Bixi administration is not as bad people make it out to be, I have realised since I moved to Hargeisa that a lot people hate on him because he stopped the free government money that flowing around under the previous government which was wasted. Now every penny is counted for, for example now every government vehicle have gps and cannot be on road after the employees finish their shift unless they are still working.

That‘s right especially when he invites people like Hersi into his party and a lot of his support is only from his qabil and am not saying muse Bixi is perfect but only that he is more of leader that can assert his authority.

Muse Bixi foreign policy has been good as well, as somaliland have come far under his leadership.

Insha all this parliament will be effective and hold the government accountable.
