Why are they begging? Somali people own Somaliland. SOMALI land. The land of Somali. It's their God given right as a Somali to stay and work. Somaliland government is a joke. Yeah, they let in Yemeni refugees in Berbera but told Somalis from South Somalia to stay onboard ships in sweltering 45 degrees Celsius because they didn't belong there.I don't get it, weren't they trying to invite refugees from yemen last year

Apparently they were wrangling over aid. Somaliland wanted the aid money (for the refugees and returnees) to go straight to them instead of through xamar, and they basically were threatening to send away south somalis until that happened. Just your usual petty shit.

why does xamar need money if the refugees are in SL
They don't, they don't control the area so they wouldn't be able to provide the people with anything anyway.
The reason why I am saying that it is petty, is that SL shouldn't degrade themselves by making these kind of gaffes. They should continue to accept the refugees, regardless of whatever else they decide to do to remedy the fianancial issue. My opinion is that they shouldn't accept money designated to go to Somalia anyway.
