Confirmed by the minister:

1. That the 2D seismic tests covered the largest distance ever searched in Africa
2. The test confirmed large commercial quantities of both crude and gas
3. Ganel energy (Anglo-Turkish) and RasGas (Emerati) will start drilling end of 2018 early 2019.
4. If correct Somaliland bugdet could increase by tens of billions a year.

This could be a potential game changer: with tens of billions of dollars and small population. Somaliland has the ability to not only transform their country, enhance diplomatic relationships and destroy rivals.

We have been killing each other for centuries over water sources and grazing lands.

I can't imagine the amount of fitnah this oil would cause.

Just a month ago dozens of Somalilanders died fighting over a water well in Ceelafweyn, and you think they'll share black gold :pachah1:

It doesn't have to nigga we just want to be left alone and then can work together as partners. If not you best believe the government will act against Somali government.

Have hope and don't be so pessimistic. The only reason ppl fight over grazing is because they are old fashioned and ignorant. People in general fight over limited resources but what can they gain from fighting over oil, in general if the oil is used to improve infrastructure and to build schools then they should be happy and too busy with new jobs to fight each other. Most of you compare Civil war and famine stricken somalis to the somali population that will hopefully have oil funds building their cities and giving them jobs. The government has to be strong tho and that's what i'm worried about corruption. This is make or break i will be sure to tell my cousins in somaliland to pressure the government on every penny spent fro mthe oil fund or they will have to replace officials until a just official comes along who wants his country to become the next norway.
