I already got family that run business which use irrigation. I can get some from them.

Of course a young person wouldn't be able to afford it, but are you telling me our wealthy private sector businessmen can't affors some equipment from online or to dig a well??

Northern Somalia needs to follow the Gulf countries model of farming... distilling the sea water and then build a massive glass houses with controlled temperatures

@Yahya thats not practical do you even know how much water growing khat wastes ? Yemen depleted their own water reserves after switching from growing coffee beans to growing Khat. If you don’t have natural landscape needed for growing khat you can’t just switch to other methods to make up for it. The amount of water needed to grow khat in areas it otherwise couldn’t grow is not sustainable

Growing khat in Somalia just isn’t an option especially when we barely have enough water reserve as it is now. Messing up the few areas of Somalia that can actually grow khat is NOT worth it and anyone who thinks it is suffers from 68IQ
