Somaliland independence is a must and partition should be negotiated as soon as constitutional issues are resolved in Mogadishu. I don't think the FGS is capable of negotiating with Somaliland as of now, but probably by the end of Farmaajo's term. Giving Somaliland ictiraaf would rid Somalia of much baggage and reduce a lot of pressures that we currently face, without losing very much in the way of resources. Ictiraaf would be very good for both sides.
