So Somaliland ministers are lying themselves about the project itself again? minister
of water already declared this project dead. Most of the funds have been looted.

The whole reason Xumboweyne was built was to provide water for the waterless city
of Hargeisa and a lot of extensions are missing thus the project failed its goal. It
is not enough for 1% of the city let alone 90% Hargeisa areas that are waterless.
Hundreds of millions of dollars was also stolen.
@Bohol seems to be correct about this according to the minister of water resources the project has failed due to corruption

As to people who are defending these politicians, where is the water?
The project to expand the water capacity and reach for Hargeysa has been going for 2 years at least with major funds from the UAE (Xumbo Wayne)as well as the SDF via European Union funded project (Geed deeble).
What Happened?
Where is the MF water?
Can anyone who is pro corruption please explain?
I already knew that nothing would be delivered.
In fact there never will be Berbera corridor nor UAE built port. The Siiland politicians will find a way to screw that up.
They have managed to steal money from every major project including the $10 million for Hargeisa Airport.

The South has two rivers that couldve sustained a large population, but since you only want SL i guess you choose dehydration??
That goes for Puntland too. The whole north is semi-desert, there isnt enough water whatsoever.
Only if the south is peaceful then we can settle and live from those two rivers.
It could provide hydro electricity and water to drink.
To Somaliland i say good luck with finding water.

Puntland is fighting the water issue like no other administration. They built like 10 dams so far all located in strategic locations.
This is the second big project in SL that went into the policitians pockets. I remember the fiasco with the renovation of the Egal Airport. 10 million dollars to build a garden and a fence lol

It was small garden and apparently $800k daryeel construction built terminal and rest apparently went into improving the run way and also building small house for berbera terminal.

Independent Puntites can build a water retention dam for 10k; I seen one that was 100x80 metre and it was dug down 6 feet.
100 ft = 30.48 m, 80 ft = 24.384 m, 6 ft = 1.829 m
30.48 * 24.384 * 1.829 = 1359.3572813 m³
You hold about 359,104 gallons of water.
Take into consideration that the average camel can drink up to 40gallons of water.
That’s 8,977 camels you can charge 5-10$ to drink @ your reserve.
