Just came to check the last thread I will ever post but your saying your scared of Yemen. You people are pathetic maybe the Eritreans are right about Somalis they are pussies. You say Ethiopia is bad they took our land but when Yemen takes your land your okay with it but now I get it if it's an arab I'm okay with it. Maybe Yemen should just take Somaliland and Puntland what are you going to do about it pussy?

Socotris are ethnically South Semites who left the Arabian peninsula a few thousand years ago and arrived at an uninhabited island.
There never was a strong Somali presence on Socotra. The handful of Somalis you see there today are just fishermen and sailors who temporarily visit the place.

Socotra is clearly in Yemen's sphere of influence. Somalia has no claim to it. Thinking about a costly war over an island that has strong roots with Yemen is ridiculous. End of story.

Annexing territories is so 20th century, the international community now has a strong consensus against it.
The only ones who are allowed to entertain such ideas are the superpowers (USA, Russia, China). The rest of us are forced to be content with what we have or otherwise get owned by the international community.

Really pretty sure the international community don't give a damn about Yemen or Somalia and also didn't Russia just annex Crimea last year. So last 20th century right.
