The young man killed the other night is not worth protesting over. There are no shortage of cases and incidents of police brutality that need attention, but this one is not it.
The man attempted to murder police officers.
Police have released footage of the video within a few hours of the incident. There isn't even a dispute about what happened. You have to be effing crazy to shoot at police and not expect to be killed. If that wasn't a suicide attempt I don't know what is.
What exactly is the purpose of the protest? For police not to kill a 2 time convicted felon suspected of another felony that is shooting at them? Come on guys, I never expected to sound pro-police but you can't get support of wider community when genuine cases of police brutality occurs when we are protesting for suspects that attempted to kill cops. It will just reduce potency of future legitimate protests. Having said that, rest in peace to the brother, I don't know what he was going through at the time, and hope his family heals.
