imagine 500 Somali families are convinced to relocate from MN and OH to settle in these vacant homes for just $500. Then just cut the grass and use $1k to renovate the structure.

In the blink of an eye you would have thriving little Somalia. Somalis are good at entrepreneurship and they will open up stores and businesses. A mosque will be opened. Daycare places. 10 home health care tuugnimo would be opened. Several travel agencies. Xawaalado.

This is feasible cause there a lot of husbands who are truck drivers. It fits perfectly for the truck driving families.

I don't know what badiyo you came from yesterday, but $1000 is no where near enough to renovate a run-down house, even if you do ALL the labour yourself (which they won't). You could maybe make one small room or a bathroom livable with that much, but not much else.

Even if you manage to make the whole small xafad look nice, there's still the problem that you're surrounded by miles of irredeemable ghetto. Even if you manage to avoid getting robbed on a daily basis, your kids will be going to the same schools as these qashin. Don't cry later when they end up in jail.

We should be moving OUT of neighborhoods like these, into the suburbs.
