The period of the fifties until the civil war is the best period for the diaspora in Saudi Arabia. Some of them took Saudi citizenship because they worked for the Aramco company. I have relatives there as well. I would like to say that the Somalis were part of its renaissance due to the number of Somalis I know who worked during this period there.
