who here agrees that our diet is mostly carbohydrates based, we need more vegetables, say no to baasto, bariis, malawax, sabayad, canjeero.

They say you're what you eat & our traditional diet is lacking vegetables which is the most important as far as nutrition goes..
 
These vegetables grow in our country, so we definitely need to incorporate it into our everyday meals. Its unbelievable how people are starving and we have quality lobster laying on our shores. I posted a videos while back, and this man who traveller to the tip of Somalia Caluula etc, said he ate 3 lobsters a day with rice, whilst the locals where still eating rice with banana. We definitely need a revolution in food.

To my fellow maryoole wallahi I can't stress more the benefits of vegtables in our diet, if you don't like them, then try juicing them, be sure you get organic, to dilute the taste if you find it unpleasant then juice it with a slice of apple or peach, whatever tickles your fancy.

You can combine high carb foods like bariis with vegetables.

Eating a meal based mostly on vegetables is disgusting. They are low in calories and will make you shit 3 times a day if you eat too much of them. Somalis need to eat more meat (Organic pasture fed). Meat is more nutritionally dense than vegetables and the body has no issues with absorbing the nutrients from meat. A lot of vegetables actually have anti-nutrients which the body cannot absorb and actually causes a hosts of problems.

We need to remove grains(All grains IMO) and less our carbs intake while increasing a fat and protein intake. This would solve a lot of Somalis health problem.

Somalis need to eat more meat (Organic pasture fed). Meat is more nutritionally dense than vegetables and the body has no issues with absorbing the nutrients from meat. A lot of vegetables actually have anti-nutrients which the body cannot absorb and actually causes a hosts of problems.

Ideally you would want a plant based diet with animal proucts making up the bare minimum. Even better would be to go vegan

Too much meat is demonstrably bad for you and we have a significant decrease in how many antioxidant dense foods we consume. Imagine how tall we Somalis can get if we eat all that gewd shit :wow:
