Here are my reasons:
Shiites are more intelligent than Sunnis. Iran has the highest science and engineering article output in the world. Also, the overwhelming majority of Iran's millions science and technology students are women. Shia Islam is good for female empowerment, something our Somali girls desperately need.
Shias are very peaceful. Shia areas are all safe except if Sunnis come to disturb their peace. Shia don't like war and suffering. 30 years of civil warring will end if they embrace peaceful Shia Islam.
We would not have any terrorist group or extremist imams at our mosques. Terrorism wouldn't exist. Somalis can walk in a marketplace without the fear of being suicide bombed
They're very tolerant people who are able to handle differences in opinion and differences in people. This would work well in clan divided Somalia. It is of Sunni culture to treat other Sunnis and non Sunnis as second class citizens. In fact, centuries ago, when non Muslims converted to Islam, they chose Shia Islam because Sunnis treated other people not like them (ethnicity, culture, tribes, clans) as if they were beneath them.
Shias are not as poor and hopeless on average as their Sunni counterparts. They are more entrepreneurial but also more humanitarian to those less fortunate.
They happen to be more modern and accepting of change.
Shias are also OK with those who feel like they are really another gender; they're so OK with it that they pay for sex change operations.
Shias are united and they value unity. Somalia's 30 autonomous regions, on the ground or on the internet, can be one if they embrace Shia Islam.
And lastly, they aren't takfiris and they are not as judgemental. Somalis are very judgemental, more so than any ethnic group, a very bad characteristic to have.
