Afar parts of Djibouti though ??It’s pretty harsh and desolate we don’t want that .
Js delete your post wlhi like genuinely why, we are talking about the Bab el mandab strait not even arguably, the MOST important strait in the entire world. and you have the audacity to say that.

First of all, I dont know why you of all people want to be so ethno nationalist. Using your own medicine against you, A nation can have multiple people. Afar is a nation without a state they are split amongst three ethiopia eritrea and djibouti. Ertrea has 9 plus ethnic groups, ethiopia has 80. Somalia has 1 with 2 very small minorities. In fact afar does not even hold any power there it is the somalis.

This part of the world is so important that even eritrea tried to take it, ethiopia has its eyes on it. But even now the big countries of the world, they all have a miltary base there. Why? The bab el mandab strait.

In fact now that I am reading your horrendous post, I think djibouti should stay indepdant as it is for the forseeable future (until the current world order and how it is breaks down), This area is already controlled by the somalis. It has so many military countries apart of it. And it gives us another vote at the UN council. But even now looking back, it still might be a problem and it should be the goal of the somali government to take it over it avoid any other country from establishing its influence there particularly ethiopia. Who knows.

Harsh and desolate dosent matter, first of all land is land. Second of all this has the most important trade corridor in the entire world. It is somali land that was taken over by the afar people.

Federalism is an idea and like all ideas their not holy and untouchable but what is untouchable is the idealogy. We are discussing nothing outside those goal posts, their isn't more goal post or ideas on the table either. Federalism will evolve and change and respond to different clan or regional realities, it won't be some closed book, it's a living document.

But careful consideration needs to be done when it evolves so it doesn't harm existing regional states or at least has their support as we don't want already established to go into further conflict. But serious discussion is needed on SSC, Makhir, Awdal, Hiran and if their suitable as regional states because these areas will forever have someone exploiting them for their own sick mesns or end and he isn't the problem he knows their is great opportunity only.

Maybe regions who don't meet the full criteria of federal member states can be given other statuses inside the federation, we don't need to be all the same status either. Maybe call them federal territories status, making it distinct to legit member states. We don't need one size fits all with member states status or nothing, we need some damn flexibility for local realities.

The issue of Mogadishu status even needs settling it wants to operate like a clan city while wanting capital city status which it claims it represents all Somalis, this isn't just going to work either, if you want to operate like a clan join a regional state like Hirshabelle should be told to their leaders and let go of the capital status as you can't fulfill its national responsibility.

As for locals who argue this isn't no man's land and they want to protect it from other clans settling or leeching off it under national costumes we really need to sit down and accept they really think your some clan invader who leeches of the capital and looking to displace them and they think your going to humiliate them later that U settled their land. This is a genuine greivance of the locals of Mogadishu, I didn't make it up either, it's widespread locally and in the diaspora. I just live in reality.

Now we r in deadlock non Mogadishu Somalis say well stop claiming your our capital and wanting to behave like it's clan fiefdom, vs abgaal argument your an invader who wants to displace abgaal, leech of the city. What a shit show huh. And noone discusses Mogadishu issue and throw it in the too hard basket. I love hard work as kamala says. Wallahi you can't make up some of the shit Somalis do.

I've advised my reer ayeeyo, everything in life is a trade off wins and losses, for every loss U get from, being the capital such as land loss, their is far more wins being a capital, I've even told them, enclose the land as federal territory to limit it sprawling out untill abgaal has no land left.

By setting a fixed land limitation, it will reduce land supply to work within whatever land mass abgaal donated for the qaran(which isn't much when you look at abgaal land mass) which will force them to build high on every land plot, but the wins are far more then the losses(100 sq metre of land 😂) vs the rewards of being a capital, hell I wouldn't mind that deal if you don't want it.

I'm a win win type of guy, I think that provides more benefits over a longer time period for Somalis, win and lose is short term gain type of thinking, zero sum doesn't last to long before the other side wakes up to it. Ironically the culture there is win and lose, which can explain the stalemate 30 years. John Nash brilliant win win and shared losses ideas was very much revolutionary in business and politics and military fields.

That means everyone has to share a loss somewhere across all clans for it to work, if they don't even believe in the theory and prefer zero sum, show them it just extends the 30 year stalemate to 100 years, if that doesnt wake them up, just know their chasing a fantasy.
