Good idea but knowing Somalis they will fight over who leads somaliweyn
Somaliweyn will be happening very soon, There are couple of issues that need to be solved first.
The national government:
The current one is an absolute mess, you've got HSM at the helm with his cabinet full of loyal servants. You have taxi cab parliament being bankrolled by foreign intelligence with peanuts, they have no skill and need to be absolutely eliminated.
Even if they were competent, all they would serve to be is a roadblock and that is absolutely not needed with Somalia's current state which has been stagnant for almost 40 years...
Another problem you have is the all too powerful states...
States like Somaliland, Puntland, Jubaland, and the irrelevant in between. All of them are causing trouble and they need to be subdued. Each state needs to be split up into 3-5, you have HSM trying to do this albeit not for the somaliweyn cause but his own uusbuur interests, and in the completely wrong approach aswell.
What needs to be done is CIA style, cozy up to the current leaders and get them to do the dirty work. You might have some opposition, so thats why you have controlled opposition and make sure their never a real threat. Many such examples exist in the developed world actually... Something that Siad did not do and led to his failure, well he tried but it was too late.

Another issue is too much qabil affinity, Which leads to irrationality. Unity must be boosted...
this issue will be solved with Islam playing a much greater role in the government and social affairs, this qabil issue we have now which is funded by foreigners and top grade low iq can easily be solved with islam having a greater role in society and government. Maintain a balance with the west...
Any nationalist of any country would hate to say this but its true, in order to survive as a well country in this present day is to have healthy relations with the west. You cant go full north korea or eritrea, that is not the way and will lead to further stagnation. Not only that but full support to our enemy neighbors. The government must maintain good ties, but not blind ties either. The government should be free to deal with any bloc, and we will reach a level of power where we wont be bossed around. Something like the country India, they are a high value country they have a advantageous position of dealing with both Russia and the united states and they are able to maintain good ties with both while maximizing the benefit on their end. They might have a trash problem but their diplomacy is top notch.
Basically we need to have good ties, also leads me to my next point..
Some aspect of democracy must be included and should be the de jure way of running the government...
Even if we dont practice full democracy which are totally not needed, you need this for legitmacy. For foreigners and your own people, There wont be term limits.
Another issue, Al shabaab...
Very complex issue that could be easily solved if competent people with a good intention were running things. Now carpet bombing jilib is not the answer but they can easily be defeated by other means. Along with their defeat there needs to be a massive rehab campaign to those affected and to make sure this evil movement dies for good. Similar thing with the handful of ISIL in the northern areas..
National Reconciliation...
Somalis as a people and a state have massively suffered over the past couple decades, some sort of reconciliation needs to be done. Investments in mental health, returning property, in education. I don't think any sort of trials or investigations against people should be done, no point really its just time to move on from the civil war and heal from it.

I’m starting to have doubts, the vast majority of Somalis I’ve seen online are deeply tribalistic, even the ones raised in the west. It’s sad to see, I don’t understand the pride they have in a clan that has done nothing for you. Why do they cling so much to clans?? How do you function in the 21st century, whilst still believing in medieval concepts of clan???
People here still defend clans as well, arguing that qabyalaad is the problem and not clans as a concept. Which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. None of this would exist if clans didn’t exist. It’s just common sense. Clans themselves are medieval and don’t belong in the modern world. They have no benefits and only lead to division and violence. How can you possibly sit there and argue that clans should continue to exist in Somalia?
Somalia will NEVER move forward unless the government starts getting serious about getting rid of the clans altogether.

Wouldn’t it be dope if a Samaroon, for example, could freely live in a place like Barawe, or if a Gaaljecel could live in Ceerigavo, or an Mx in Garowe? Growing up in America, you have the legal freedom to live in cities like LA, New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, the Bay Area, or the DMV. It’s kind of sad to think that when you return to Somalia, for MOST, your options are kind of limited to Kenya and the specific region your from in Somalia.

Aren’t you LLK sxb? You should know that some RX from KG actually won public office in the last election in PL. That is the real issue imo, people aren’t allowed to choose their own leaders in most of Somalia so the default is unuka leh and qabyaalad. It’s also kinda unfair if you can move to someone’s region and be allowed everything, but if they move to yours you don’t allow them anything. There are many with this mentality and they are the sickest part of the community.
