Definitely not gem stones - they're plastic/glass decorations for jewellery and dress making. Amethyst is easy to find and really cheap - we have lots of eggs, cave rocks and jewellery made of amythst being sold next to cheap incense. If you had Tanzanite you'd be onto something, that's rarer than diamond.
