it make sense to be fair
Being Arab doesn’t mean you have to be genetically son of qathan or adnan rather it’s much to do with the language and the culture.

But it’s rare to see South Sudanese wouldn’t mind under the arab label

@Nilotic your opinion on this walaal ?

That’s not true. Benishanguls exist

Come on, walaal

I clearly specified that no Nilotic population in South Sudan claims Arab lineages or identity; and the people of Benishangul-Gumuz are not found in South Sudan...

..Furthermore, the Gumuz are not even Nilotes; they are cousins of the Nilotes -- just like the Surmic peoples of South Sudan and Ethiopia.

Is it true that South Sudan applied to join the Arab League or was it fake news? I’m getting conflicting news on this.

Some are saying South Sudan applied to join. Whereas, others are saying the Arab League approached South Sudan & asked them to join.

That bullet to the head deserving dolt (Salva Kiir) apparently applied for observer status with the Arab League -- which would have defeated the very purpose of our centuries of costly resistence.

A summary of the sequence of events:

The Arab League told South Sudan that it could join, if it so desired

South Sudan could have joined if it had designated Arabic as an official language, however, it refused to meet this requirement

Inexplicably, South Sudan applied either for membership or observer status and was duly denied

Yeah, and it should be completely phased out and consigned to the dustbin of history; South Sudanese have no business allowing that language to persist for much longer.
I see, you are an nationalist diaspora. You’ll find a lot of people like you here lol
