I realized the majority of Somali families I have seen always had this one mentally ill kid, I think eugenics is the way to go.

Wipe out all low cognitive functioning Somalis and replace them with intellectuals through selective gene editing.

Not anyone will be allowed to mine asteroids.

If that was the case; US dollar would soon lose it's hold over the global economy and sanctions would be pointless as any country could get whatever they want from near Earth objects.

Terrorist could easily find a a few miles size asteroid and push it our way.

Opening space to anyone would be chaos.

Hence the larger powers in the world are working hard to consolidate power across the globe so that they can control space as well.

Control of space is much more valuable than all of the Oil & Gas deposits on Earth as a single decent sized carbonaceous asteroid could hold Qatar's gas reserves.

A trillion dollar asteroid might not be worth a trillion on earth as you'll saturate the precious metals market but over time use cases will increase and so will the market size for that particular metal.
