Turkey and Russia are most likely to merge in some ways. Collapse of Russia means that Turkey will lose all of its ancestral land in Central Asia to China for good. At least right now under the Russian patronage the Turkic republics are independent.

Besides, the times of Empires are gone for good. Turkey can only win on moral ground and helping its former territories to be independent and economically prosperous. The conquest comes through goodwill and clean heart.
