There's no need for insults, doubt is fine, but I see it as progress that there are talks.

It's too early to talk interms of whether or not it is successful giving the fact that the talks collapesd partly due to Somalia's lack of commitment. Therefore, this shows that they werent at the time not taking it seriously by only sending midnimo somalilander politicans, instead of konfur politicans which would have been a better alternative because the talks may have gone on a lot longer and could have reached a certain outcome that benefited SL.

The default postion of both countries repectively is Somaliland wants recongtion because the people overwhelmingly voted infavour for independence in 2 refferendums.Although, there is questions in to whether or not there was harti participation of voting.

On the other hand, Somalia wants the union to continue like in 1960 Somalia and believes the union is sacred.

To be honest,the politics in Somalia only benefits konfur and the politics tend to be tailored for Konfur which is a reality . But, Sl has not benefited from the union since 1960-91. Therefore, many people who are SLanders believe that they have lost something which is simlar to shareholder investing and not gaining any dividends in return. The shareholder analogy is refering to the union and what has it lost with regards to giving up its nationhood. Such as, a seat in the UN and basic means to function as a nation in the international arena in the sense of political, economical and socially.

Inaddion, one of the reason why SLanders want independence is that they don't see the benefit of the union which has a 4.5 syterm that favours two qabil political classes which comes accross as an appartied systerm in which minority maginalised communities are represented by the 0.5 and not 1 which that that it self is haram .
