Not sure what exactly was the point of putting down a gun. Had he not killed himself would it have proven the dads point or something?

well I guess the son gave irrefutable evidence that he was indeed depressed.

guns are really op though, you don’t need to have a shred of bravery to kill yourself with it, look how smoothly he did himself in. There are no second chances.

With a knife you have to push it down into your body and bleed out feeling every bit of it.
