Does anyone know anything about the ancient tradition of maanyogal, or anything similar in which you swim in the sea to chase away evil spirits believed to be related with the blowing of the monsoon winds and afterwards sacrifice a cow or a camel on the shrine of Aw awes?

I got it from Hawa jibril biography on page 86 she was describing her life in moqdisho in the 40s and festivals they had such as istun the stick fishing they do in afgoyo however istaqfurow and maanyogal caught my eye
