i also perfer twists to braiding maybe because i cant braid for shit and im symmetrically challenged when it comes to braiding hair

Bantu knots make my hair knotted towards the ends. It only looks nice when I do it for the backside of my head, my hair looks kinda wavy from it if I do it in big sections.

If I twist it around fairly tight and try seperating a bit too much just for my liking, my hair starts tangling.

Bantu knots is what Black Americans call it, I'm sure a lot of ethnic groups in Africa have their own name for it.

i dont know the history of bantu knots or who patented it..but i would assume theyve been around just as long as somali duudubis right?

I'm not sure, but they've probably been around the same time.

It really irks me when cadaan women do duuduubis, it really doesn't suit them.

Even though my hair isn't even long anymore I still can't be bothered to braid/dudub my timo.

I like the way it turns out on my hair though. I do it on my wet hair.
