i follow the shafi'i madhhab which is the dominant school in east africa. i also follow the ash'ari aqidah. i would consider that the framework of sunni islam. to uphold sunni teachings strictly, i would go to lebanon and study under the association of islamic charitable projects or al ahbash as they are called by arabs.
