The greatest film director in my opinion has to be Ridley Scott. Such a long and illustrious career. Produced some of Hollywood's greatest film, and many of those great films are of different genres. You have two of the greatest Sci-Fi films in Alien and Blade Runner, historical based films like The Duelists, Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven, favourite Somali war film, Black Hawk Down, Thelma and Louise and even Mobster film, American Gangster.
