This is what happens when Salafi/Wahhabi ideology infects the minds of Somali youth or Muslim youth in general. It's a parasite that needs to be removed... they're loyal to a language and culture that's not theirs and is used as a means to control them while harming their original nation.

Ana Arab Abdi & BLM Xalimo are two different sides of the same coin. This is what you get when your people have been humiliated for the last century.

why say "docelhay" as if its the women who say this shit. We got BLM Xalimo, not Ana Arab Aisha :mugshotman:

Imagine this guy is sitting here saying "Allahu akbar" instead of "Eebe a igu weeyn" when they both mean the same thing but one is authentic Somali and the other is Arabic.

Well if I got called a hutu & duuxul all time, I would definitely adopt the ana arab persona.
Wallahi, colorism is rampant in the somali community. I'm on the darker spectrum and used to get bullied as a kid. However I never adopted the Ana Arab persona. Grew up with arabs and somalis. Can't stand some of the arab's personality traits and culture.

I do have a feeling that the colorism in our community mainly had got something to do with arabization rather than colonialism. Because being darkskin even when the italians were in somalia was considered beautiful.

Bollywood didn’t help either. I think we should study when this colorism situation worsened… it seems the worst with our parents generation and our generation. I hardly see grand mothers bleaching their skin.

I never got any sly comments by somali immigrants. It's the ones born in the west that had a problem with my skin color.
