Due to recent events I have become interested in this tiny East African sovereign nation which is not a member of the UN. I have researched the history about why there's a conflict in this election and a little known civil war between different Somaliland tribes in the 1994s which was perpetrated against the Habar clans of the eastern regions. I was naturally curious cause most of my focus is on development of my state Puntland which is building a third airport but I won't delve into that too much visit the development section.
What I found was the real cause of this conflict it's about the money. Under the years of the Kulmiye leadership which sold off the national assets of this sovereign independent nation to its backers, it has also silently diverted the aid and development funds to its clan backers regions thereby neglecting almost half the population of this independent nation.
Wadani supporters knowing 100%% full well that they were going to be suckered by an alliance of moneyed interests made an all out dash to the top spot cause they realized they will never eat, never sleep, never breathe in a Kulmiye administration.
Kulmiye faction in a sneakily way only gave a few water wells and fishing lessons to the eastern regions of this sovereign state but gave the bulk of of development aid money to itself and its clan such as preserving range land for livestock while Sool and Sanaag remain underdeveloped, Sool is the most underdeveloped region in the former Somali Republic led by the General Siad Barre AUN allah ya raxma lets not hold grudges. Anyway that's the real conflict.
