Nomadic lord
Simply better.
The habit dates back to the Abyssinian–Adal War, a century-long sporadic military conflict between the Ethiopian Empire and the Somali Adal Sultanate in the 16th century. During the Ethiopians' early Somali defeats, soldiers began consuming raw meat as a tactical measure. As Somali troops moved towards the Blue Nile and Lake Tana, Ethiopian soldiers sheltering from the Somali Adal army began eating raw meat at night. They feared the smoke and flames would reveal their location. This military strategy of avoiding detection became a delicacy during the Conquest of Abyssinia, and Ethiopians' taste of raw meat grew from there!
