I advise all SL citizens living in Mogadishu to avoid public places, exercise a heightened level of vigilance, monitor local media, and leave any area of unrest quickly. 1- They claim to be a different country and this letter just shows desperation to join the political process in Somalia. If you're independent state you wouldn't care what happens in Mogadishu and distance yourself from there as much as possible (failed strategy for 25 years)

2- Every elected president in Somaliland's history delayed elections and extended mandate for at least 2 years.


I do not like Farmajo but if this illegal move bring an end to 4.5 I'm all for it. If Somaliland intention was from a good place they should be supporting the democratic process it prides itself in practicing 1m1v.

The Guurti is instrumental in Somaliland as they have negotiated inter-clan disputes and kept the peace, carefully steering the self-declared republic away from the fate of Somalia. The debate on the Guurti reformation needs to be discussed for example the members aren't elected and that's for the population of Somaliland to discuss without interference from the international community.
The international community has always been adamant that Somaliland and Somalia must resolve their issues together and independently. However, giving the clown circus of Villa Somalia in the past 30 years it is now getting ridiculous
