Of course it matters, Fiqh encompasses politics. It is haram to vote against a party with the more Islamic values. Noone said you should stop them yourself though. You're supposed to follow the law of the land after all. But much more importantly if you aren't completely sold on Islam as you say, you aren't a Muslim. You can't have one foot in and one foot out, you're either a Muslim or you're not. Don't waste your time practising the deen if you aren't a believer, your good deeds aren't accepted. May Allah guide you back to it.I said maybe because I'm not entirely sold on Islam being the true religion, but I still practice it for now.
And whether I'm Muslim or not doesn't really matter in this case. I don't like to mix my religion with the law of a secular society. If two women want to bang who should I be to stop them?
