How serious is this drought?

I was asked to give some money on behalf of a clan and my uncle who never asks money from me for donations and projects asked that I donate which is making me think that this drought is very bad.

But isn't there also a man made drought? I've read somewhere that ehiopia or was it eritrea was trying to create electricity from the rivers?

60 000 this is so sad. How long will the drought last? And the government should really invest in creating water reserves throughout the whole country. We should be well prepared in case this happens again because it will.

That's what I don't understand walaahi!
But these people are just victims of Global warming, in some areas of Awdal region, people haven't seen rain for almost 2 years, 80% of their livestock is dead! Droughts happen every year but this is the worse drought since 2011 which claimed over a quarter million lives in Somalia!
This is how bad the drought is! Heartbreaking
