But we have to check them on that BS, Somaliland became a thing when the British decided to protect their Port in Aden and to secure surrounding territory so no other power could interfere in Aden's thriving port after the opening of the Suez canal, they also famously used it for as a meat supply for the troops station at Aden. That's were Somaliland's origins began.
The other BS that landers like futurist entertain is that they're somehow different than other Somalis. Saying "Us and Them" when referring to other Somalis. There's nothing Especial that differentiates you from any other Somali. And when you say "Us and we" who are you referring to Isaaqs or all residents of the former British Colony, bc they don't all share your gooni goos sentiment and resentment for other Somalis.
They also try portray the horrendous killings that happened against innocent civilians in the 80s by a regime hellbent on quelling rebels, as being the fault of "Koonfur" (which is a loaded term). Claiming the South was out for them. Who Mareehaan, Hawiye, Rahanweyn, or Majeerteen, who's fault was it when you say southerner, or were they all out to get you. Nonsense.
And also the foul hypocrisy of them ing about being forced to stay with the Somali People and Union, while at the same time claiming Border's of Daroods who aren't gooni goos and don't want to leave the Union.
Their only argument is "The white overlords gave us these fake borders so we'll die for them" who they Ironically call martyrs, dying for gaalo borders doesn't make you a shahid.
So since you respect the white mans judgement so much, you should give up your quest for independence because that same white man refused to recognize you as nothing but a Maamul Goboleed. Which is the reality on the ground
