Nice. Leta get them weapons in and put an end to this long chapter of shabaab. I feel that the US see Somalia as a way to say "see our war against terror worked" after Afghanistan fell. I'd like to see more soldiers in training and a renewed pushed to finish off the central shabaab holdouts before taking up the southern part.

Inshallah we'll be free of these suicidal maniacs soon.

If the US or Turkey gave us air support then we could easily pick off Shabaab, it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel. The FGS needs a new strategy because some folk are not willing to fight for their freedom like the Macawisley were. I think we still have a long way to go but with the arms embargo lifted I think the stalemate is soon to end, weaponry and logistics will be more on FGS side.

But Allah knows what's best.

US Trained Special forces are Very effective when it comes to the fight against Al shabab they have a base in Shabelaha hoose Balidogle Airbase you never hear any shabab attacks over there because they know they can't

$100 million is a fart compared to how much was given to Ukraine alone. America must send at least a few billions to ensure Alshabab is forever eradicated

Don't expect Ukraine money but it's a good amount to establish a good base with proper weapons and training for officers. What we need is a good strategy to ensure that what gains we have will be held. That we minimize the losses and maximize the deaths of khawarij in engagements. The money can easily help ensure that.

In Syria, ISIS was the excuse the US used in order to loot oil and gas from Syrian people. SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) was the Kurdish militia that the US created in order to accompany the US forces, fight the ISIS and other militia while looting these resources.

In Somalia, Al-Shabaab is what they're using in the case of ISIS in Syria. Danab is SDF. And the FGS's petroleum minister just announced they're digging 7 oil wells. The resource sharing law is not even in placed in Somalia, and the agreement between Somalia and Western oil forms was not shared with Somalia's parliament. This reality needs to be understood.

The U.S. has spent nearly $110M in building out a single airbase for drone operations in Niger. Splitting $100M across the development (and ongoing maintenance) of 5 various bases doesn't seem like a hard push for anything.

The US has a vested interest in keeping the horn out of Chinas sphere of influence, with the Ethiopians joining the Bricks, they only have us left, you never want to be Americas friend, you just need to look at the Kurds, we need to keep our relationship distant but cordial.
