Lander is just an English Word from Land and this is what they want to go by and claim themselves as, I genuinely pity these people.

Somaliland was a British protectorate so it makes sense that a lot of us are now in the UK

nah I was just curious because sometimes people say its was a protectorate and other say it was a colony?

Either way I personally wouldn't put what say the Congolese or Nigerians went through in the same realm as Somalis.

protectorate, at the time the english already owned almost of all east africa so they just needed the point of access for the bab el mandeb hence they took over sudan and egypt too.
