I've been seeing many people blame Xalane for various reasons over the past few years. I've even seen some people blaming them for explosions that happen in Muqdisho. What do you all think of Xalane? Do you want them out of the country or not? Personally, I don't want them out. Instead of Somalis criticizing the government and military for the explosions, they would rather just form a fake theory of Xalane being behind every evil in Somalia and focus on it.

My main issue with Halane apart from the politics is that it’s an eyesore. It’s a glorified refugee camp of shipping containers as far as the eye can see. Plus it’s in prime real estate near the airport.

I have no issue with EU, UN, NATO offices and embassies in Xamar. But I think they should have buildings in a designated district with security. House all these offices, embassies and diplomat residences in a designated area of Xamar.

If Xamar was a safe place then it would have definitely been so but for the current moment they have to be in the safest place of the city and that happens to be Xalane.

The way they influence the country's politics is worrying, we have no sovereignty until Xalane vanishes

Quite the Islamist.
Ngl I want Xalane and their puppets fgs out. Infact I wouldn't give an eff if one of these su*cide bo**bers took out Xalane as a whole...We should never forget the FGS as a system was forcefully and violently imposed in us.

And this doesn’t necessarily mean I support AS.

So you're those people who hate the FGS. What do you want the Islamic courts? The FGS has been the best thing to happen in somalia this century and has given a space for all qabils in Somalia to be represented unlike the Islamic courts who were qabilist hiding behind Islamic curtains.

The fact that alkebab originates from the Islamic courts is enough to show people what kind of people they were.

Can you expand a little bit on how they influence the country's politics?
So they have a say in decisions taken in the country, be it domestic or foreign decisions. They can easily push an agenda in parliament to favour them which has happened.

How do I articulate a pro sheria, anti sovereign qabil states stance. The Islamic courts was cut short. A similar system should be good. I know alot of y'all on this site take any dig at the origins of fgs as an attack on certain somali qabil but wlh I do not intend so, I just think how it got forced on Somalia..esp the invasion in the south was inappropriate and borderline crime against humanity.

During the summer of 2006, the ICU decisively defeated a warlord alliance funded by the CIA and became the first entity to consolidate control over all of Mogadishu since the collapse of the state.[10] The period that followed is widely heralded as the most stable and productive period Somalia had seen up to that point since the outbreak of the civil war

The issue isn’t with these organisations existing in Xamar, they have offices in every capital city.

The issue is what they are doing in their offices in Xamar. It’s a behavioural problem not an existential one.

Xalane is the safest because they secure it to the hilt and make sure no one without permission enters. They can do that anywhere in Xamar and have actual buildings.

In other conflict zones, such as Iraq, they are in a secure zone but it’s in the city and they have buildings.

Why do we have to put up with a glorified refugee camp in the middle of the city right near the ocean. It’s blatant disrespect.

America and EU have so little respect for somalia, that they operate out of shipping containers

even beirut where there is israeli strikes does not have shipping container embassies

We know.

Everyone in Somalia knows the instability and bombings is from Xalane.

Everyone wants them out.

Anywhere the west sets up is destabilized in the Muslim world.

Once they are gone things will be much safer and more stable.
