Theory that northern Jweyne clans (Makaane,Shiidle etc) are actually from Debub (SouthWestern Ethiopia) originally

I have a personal theory (that I have clashed with some users on here) based on historical writings from Cerulli and others that the northern Jweyne clans are omotic migrants.

We all know that Bale was Somali before the Oromo conquered it, and it was inhabited by D&M who then migrated down to where they live currently sometime around the 1500’s.

In Bale the local Oromo have a relationship with some local omotic people (^1) where those omotic people do what the oromo regard as dirty work (tanning iron work etc) just like in the Northern Somali clans are done by Gaboye. Southern RW clans are the only Somali clans that don’t have Gaboye clans, so why? They hold iron-work and tanning and all of that in abhorrence like northern somali clans do, so who historically did that for them?

the answer is something I think you can reason out.

I think you'll find that most are descendants of slaves taken in the 700 years or so. Pretty easy way to prove this would be to carry out genetic tests. I dont think omotic people exist anywhere in the somali peninsula.

That’s abjectly false since most of them already lived in the region before Swahili’s even shipped their cousins to the Somali coast.

They could have been augmented with former bantu slaves over time but the core of them precedes bantus even being in coastal East Africa. an earlier Omotic slave trade could be a possibility, but they have no memory of slavery and the nearboring clans have no memory of having enslaved them.

Like i said genetic tests would put this to bed very quickly.

but my claim is that the core of the clan is omotic and that they were bolstered over time by freed bantus, so how could saancadales nonsense machines prove this?

If you cant find/know the core clans that the bantus joined or if they assimilated then you would look at the proportion of their dna that comprises of omotic ancestry, even minuscule amounts would prove that they're mixed with them and they have a link with omotic people.

Wasn’t Bale inhabited by Sidamas and then ruled by Somalis?

With the way it passed hands from Somalis to Ethiopians quickly before Oromos I question whether the local populace was mass converted to either religion

Makanne, Kaboole, Shabelle, Shiidle, Eyle, Gawaawiin etc are all of same ethnic stock and all claim to have migrated from eastern Ethiopia

There aren't clans that are descendants of slaves, the descendants of slaves don't have lineage clans , bantus that descend from slaves would be like the ones of Gosha , Hawaay, Galwiin and along banaadir coast

Rewein were around the Bale area until 500 years ago. Seems like it was pretty diverse before Oromos showed up

They aren't Omotic or Horners, they are clearly Bantus and genetics would easily prove it.
They're not bantu, nothing Bantu about their lineages or culture nor do they claim bantu origin, here's a chart of Shiidle confederacy made up of 1-Waalamoy 2- Sagaalow 3- Garmagalle 4- Waaqbiyo 5- Reer Barre 6- Reer Ciisa

Having a look at their lineages should make it clear enough

Meanwhile these are the Bantu tribes

ignore this Qaldaan. They love to run their mouths on regions neither Abkood or even Awagod has ever been to

They are Bantus. There is zero genetic evidence that a Omotic population lived in Somalia. There’s a reason you can find Bantu paternal lineages there and not Omotic and also low level Bantu ancestry can be found in Somalia especially among the Cushitic Af-Maay speaking populations and occasionally among the Somali clans of Southern Somalia

We don’t mix with non-Cushitic Sub Saharans. Historically SL only had Harla, Somalis, Yemenis and after the Oromo expansions Oromos such as Akisho & Jaarso.

Didn’t know you folks adopted typical leftist gatekeeping tactics. I can speak on anything I feel like whether Andalusi history to Malay history. Stop whining naaya

This is bullshit bantu had no presence in Somalia before swahili trade. Most of Kenya was Somali-Oromo so how did bantus hop over that dry land and came to Jubaland 😂😂

Yes Somalis were in a West expansion towards habasha as we took hararghe and bale. But the fall of Adal and Oromo expansion put that to an end in the late 1500s. From then somali started to expand south into Kenya where nfd was completely cleansed and settled by Somali clans. It was rapidly kicking off in the 1890s and Somalis were probably going to reach Tanzania if colonisation didn't stop it according to the British
