Saxiib i mentioned farmaajo "caved in" so i acknowledged he was resisting them. You made some good points especially regarding the UK's role in destabilizing Somalia and empowering Kenya and robow is definitely a m16 agent from what i can see. I feel the US is increasing their presence for entirely different reasons, they haven't shown much interest in Somalia/HOA until recently before it was mainly for drone strikes. They seem to be shadowing China in South east Asia and now China is returning the favor in Africa

The US will soon lose their strategic military base in Djibouti after ismail omar guelleh defaults and relinquishes the port to China. The USA will be kicked out of Djibouti unless they bail them out.

China is gaining influence in the horn ninyahow this is why the US has been expanding their drone base in wanlaweyn, they now need a permanent base in Somalia proper to counter them.

Farmaajo signed deals with Xi joining the one belt one road initiative, might be another debt trap but regardless China needs influence in Somalia and its maritime boundaries to make the obor project a success and as expected the us is countering them by offering nearly a billion in aid lets see if they pull through with that i doubt they will but one thing is for certain they are backing farmaajo in Somalia

and the new US Ambassador Yamamoto to Somalia worked in the same position in both Eritrea and recently Ethiopia so he knows the horn very well. remember the TPLF was very much allied with China and even modeled their government after the CCP.
