It's survival of the fittest world. Honestly, I have seen it all. The agenda on the menu is currently to dehumanize the Oromo. Somalis and other Yaryar laangaabs{Adari, Harla...} can expand and pillage foreign lands(under Ahmed Gurey), but the relatively peaceful Oromo migrations is where we draw the line.
:mindblown:

Ahmed gurey’s war was a reaction to expanding abyssinian’s who would oppress muslims and force muslim kingdoms to pay tribute

Yes, it was a reaction to Xabashi aggression but we can all agree that they have gone too far. Why destroy churches and kill everyone who refuses to convert? That is not what the Sahaba or even the Umayyad & Abbasid dynasties did after their conquests. The best revenge would've been to force them to pay the Jizya.

Tbh, I don't remember. I think the killing stories are from Abyssinian and Portuguese sources.
I thought both sides commited massacres against each other?
This is not some regular medieval holy war. This is the horn of Africa, land of the genocidal maniacs

Nah don't mind the apologist the imam ahmed didn't do half of what the habasha did for 200 year. The oppression muslim suffered under the habasha wasn't a small thing. The habasha had many torture method they used on muslims and the habasha forcefully converted many people into their religion. They destroyed, annihilate and burned many muslim settlement for centuries.

Yes of course, Ahmed gurey was simply returning hundreds of years of aggression back to abyssinnia.
If only we had a leader who could bring somalis together against the aggressive Ethiopians once again :rejoice:

This is a map shows light emitted from parts of the somali region and eastern ethiopia. It indicates accesses to electricity and could also be used to measure the development of these regions. The three brightest lights here is dir dhabe, harar and jigjiga.

Coincidently these parts are also the ones that are in danger of being taken. Harar is already part of the oromo region in all ways but in name. The influence of the oromo region i read is already prominent. The oromia admin is trying to incorporate dir dhabe into the oromia region despite it being an autonomies zone. The city is not only rich but also important station for goods flowing from and too djibouti.

Finally jijgjiga vicinity is already fighting the oromia region for survival and trolls on the internet are not subtle with their intention of taking over jijgjiga. It's not only the agricultural land that are in danger but also the developed city close by.

The only reason they feel comfortable about claiming our land is because unlike the oromo, we somalis are too divided to make a United resistance.

Notice how they always point out our clans when we are being attacked, this is because they want to make us feel separate from one another's issues which makes it easier for them to pick us off

Here is a better map of three of the most developed cities in the area at the very least in terms of access to electricity .
