Watched kingdom of Heaven. A Really interesting guy.

I prefer Saladin for obvious reasons but Baldwin was a diseased boy who won great battles at just 16 and fought one of the best Muslim generals and died by 23.

Heโ€™s basically me but instead of fighting the muslims, im blowing up shithole qabils

Overhyped he didn't do much and was at an advantage in everything besides numbers from time to time. He's placed on a pedestal because he did it while suffering from leprosy. For the most part all he did was charge at the Muslims with juggernauts and won a few times doing that ๐Ÿ’€

when it came to military tech the crusaders where far superior and this was the start of the decline of the arabs in political/military power over the world because they didn't adapt. although they did end up winning the crusades but it was mainly through simply out waiting and out numbering the crusaders and then shortly after the crusades the Muslims where smashed to bits by the Mongols.

The only reason the crusaders kept losing was because of the constant infighting, squabbling and lack of good logistical support from the west.

Crusades get overhyped in general by the west. They aren't thought of as much by middle easterners despite them being the winners.

Christians had a good chance of winning but Europeans couldn't work together even if their life depends on it.

That's because they didn't take over much but the crusaders did most definitely benefit the west. a lot of western advancement was because the crusaders where soically exposed to the East and imported goods aswell as knowledge back to the west during the periods of the crusaders.

He was able to give a good fight to one of the greatest muslim generals. Plus he was a young man with a debilitating disease. He is a legend in the history books.

Edward Nortonโ€™s acting chops are underrated. An entire mask covered his face, but he still delivered a memorable performance. I hope you watched the Directorโ€™s Cut and not the inferior Theatrical version.
