True situation of Puntland Pastrolists and People documented by Abshir Abdullahi Faroole

The Simma drought has increased two-fold the pastrolists leaving the land, the unemployment of the youth and economic depression.

No government agency or representative has addressed the nomads flight from the land and their dire situation of living.

Puntlanders are becoming destitute lack of government care and intervention that addresses and investigates those flights is a huge part.

At least Gaas and his crownies are eating good and his money is safely invested in Kenya, Zambia and USA.

Every village has tons of nomadic displaced people where hut upon hut is lined where deseases break out because of lack of water safe drinking water as the places become cramped and camps are formed!

There was never such number of huge displacements of nomads or camps where nomads sought refuge.

People lost all their animals and the camps are growing in the villages just like the huge IDP camps in the large cities.

They don't expect anything and have no message that the journalists could pass on in their behalf.

Norwegian actually the Somali socialiat government of Mohamed Siyaad did that with nomads from Togdheer (Cayn) and other regions.

We had a government and a plan. They came up with a solution with the dabadheer drought.
