I'd love to see the Somali government require that a decent percentage of workers in such projects be of Somali origin, ideally from within the country. While the skillset may not be available initially, the agreement could mandate training programs, leading to guaranteed employment. We can't allow foreign companies to simply pay off officials and operate without ensuring the people benefit from these deals.

This would definitely benefit us in the long run there are no spaceorts in africa. This would encourage other countries or companies intrested in the soace industry to build stuff in somalia if turkey lays the groundwork especially from ither muslim countries like the arab world or southeast asia. Over the decades this would build up into somalia having a massive space infrastructure since building on top would be a far more attractive prospect for other countries and companies. You'll probably also get tech transfers over such a long time. Might one day be one of the key space countries in the world.

An agreement was already made back in 2015

A defense-industry cooperation agreement signed between Turkey and Somalia in 2015 allows for “joint research, development and production projects in the field of military equipment in the territories of the parties.” The two countries agreed in July to further boost their defense and economic cooperation over the next decade.

Turkey is a poor country. This is all a pipe dream. Plus no country om earth would invest 1 billion into somalia for an important project like space program.
