Turkish base original target for truck bomb

The newly Turkish-built military base in Mogadishu was the original target of Saturday’s deadly truck bomb, a senior Somali intelligence official told VOA Somali.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, says all the intelligence reports received before this attack -- and information gathered since the explosion occurred -- indicated the Turkish military base was the target.

“This base is the most strategic target for them, it’s going to produce an organized army and they have to preemptively destroy that,” the source said.

The official said the National Intelligence and Security Agency had prior information that al-Shabab was planning to attack the Turkish military base.

Turkish and Somali officials inaugurated the base on Sept. 30. More than 200 Turkish troops will train 1,500 Somali troops with a target of training at least 10,000 Somali soldiers. The chief of staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Hulusi Akar, said during the opening ceremony that his government plans to help Somalia until the country gets "militarily stronger."

Somalia has published a plan to establish a 22,000-strength army before the African Union troops leave the country. AMISOM will start gradual withdrawal by October of next year.

There is also talk of a deal between the Somali government and Qatar only 2 days before the bombing? Apparently the SFG reached some agreement with Qatarabout using Somali airspace and training Somali soldiers. It would align with this theory.

A few people saying it doesn't mean that's the popular opinion. Only folks who say that, have an agenda and for you to bring it up just shows that you're trying to shift the focus as well. Most believe it was AS or foreign influence.

Most HG are sufi "ahlul sunnah wal jamaca" and very few are in AS. Although Somali sufis have wrong aqeedah, they hate AS or anything they view as exterme, wahabbi etc..
Also as can be seen in Galmudug, which they have barely infiltrated due to the heavy sufi presence.

Don't forget the master mind that is the Anglo American Zionists because the UAE by itself is toothless despite it's war chest, they implicated themselves with this fictitious story they deliberately planted, the intent here was to start a civil war but they forgot the place the bomb went off is dominated by the same group along with their businesses

This is poor planning on their part but there is very little they could do if their intention was to go after the base (they had to take that route), because had this bomb gone off in Daynille, the other side of Halwadaag or other key points in Xamar, their propaganda would have likely fuelled a civil war but no one is thus far buying this BS.

As I posted before, the litmus test that will exonerate this government from complicity is the statements they come out with, if they follow the pathetic line of the US linking this to Bariire, they are 100% complicit in this, if they stick to the narrative that a poor state like Somaliland masterminded this without mentioning their caretakers the UAE, it proves complicity but at a reduced level, if they come out with it's just al-shabab, they are complicit also.
