No one seriously believed that recognition was coming it's been 25+ years. However the UAE port deal set a precedent which shows that Somaliland is a trust worthy business partner that is ready to cut deals with foreigners and there's nothing Farmajo or Xamar can do about it. The status quo of full autonomy isn't bad for Somaliland at all, and the federal government should focus on stabilizing the south instead of worrying what goes on in Berbera, a city Farmajo can't even visit if he wanted too.

Sxb they can insult Somaliland all they like I don't mind. I''ll continue to call out the hypocrispy when they claim of the existence of "Somalinimo" in the same breath though. Even if Somaliland never gets its independence it's still a viable democratic model for a stable and peaceful Somali administration that should be emulated elsewhere across the horn.

CCC and HSM signed the approval for this deal. So, Dubai took the permission for central government before signing. Accept it SL is just state.
