Yeah it started with David Cameron’s measures to tackle this financial crisis and gradually his Tory friends made it worse. The UK economy never recovered since the early 2000s. It’s just been a downwards spiral in every metric. The NHS is collapsing. Wages are stagnant but basically deducted because of inflation so instead of a pay rise there’s a pay cut. Way higher cost of living, especially rent prices in London. Increased crime, lowest productivity in the G7 I believe. Less social cohesion, more immigrants than ever. Public services reduced etc. reer uk get out while you can. It’s predicted to get worse until 2030, and people who took out loans for uni are having to pay back 60-80k now because inflation fucked their loans and it has to be payed back to what the value of the pound was when they took it + interest
