Well, I’m consider a Somali American is different than a Somali national. Also, mixed people tend to identify with one group stronger other another due to various reasons. For example: My Mexican boyfriend has a similar experience with First generation Mexicans. Mexican American is a bit different from traditional Mexican culture.
