I look an East African, outside of my bigger lips. No maadow here has natural dark purple lips with reddish brown skin. I don’t really look Bantu. Maybe Fulani.

I don’t know, but the black American media talks about it everyday. My aunt’s husband is a huge fan of hers. It’s so bizarre. They did the same thing with Hallie Ballie. She was complaining about her 1/4 black kids not being seen as black a Nina Simone. If you wanted black kids, then why did have one with Anglo Saxon caadan, while being only half black yourself ?

What is “black”, though? Somali culture is very different from most Sub Saharan Africans. Also, I never ever heard the early Somali Americans in 1900s during Black History Month.
