Was the Kingdom/Sultanate of Machida, Somali???

This map is from 1749 and shows that the Kingdom of Machida was a Muslim kingdom adjacent to the Kingdom of Mogadishu. It goes on to say that the Kingdom of Machida was ruled by a king who was at war with the Ethiopian kings.

Also, i have noticed a placed called Auca Gurela on a lot of medieval maps of Adal sultanate and was wondering which town it would correspond to on today's map.

The kingdom of machida I think could be a southern oromo polity and it’s known the oromos of the southern region were Muslim, auca gurela could correspond to hargeisa or somewhere near there

Auca Gurela looks like it corresponds to modern day Aw Barkhadle.

The kingdom of machida is the same as the kingdom of mogadishu and it was the northern most extend of the kingdom of mogadishu. It's believed at least by the solomonic dynasty that the kingdom of mogadishu and the kingdom of adal were united as one during the 15th century. Machidas is how the solomonic dynasty use to pronounce mogadishu.

Auca gurela is a miss spelling of aussa that later became the capital of adel. You can see the first part of the name "au-ca".

Aussa which would later became the aussa imamate is located in modern day afar region It's called by the afar asaita. It's also home of the harla somalis though they've been afarisised and all they retain from their somali identity is their genealogy.

This means that Somalia was unified before colonization
Also, does Ethiopians mean they are black?

Ethiopians here stands for habasha meaning the solomonic dynasty. The portuguese conducted interviews with ethiopians to learn about the history of the region and the ethiopians mentioned machidas a powerful southern muslim kingdom but what they really meant to say is mogadishu instead of machidas.
