Reer PL need to promote our osmaniya script. Teach kids from primary and hopefully years to come it can become our script. Get rid of that crap imposed by Kacaan.

I really don't understand the hype over osmania. Yes it's cool etc but it has very little history, it was used by very few people and has no historical and cultural background in the country. it has no practical use as while. Our latin base alphabet is also newer but it has a well established and widespread use and it's easier to learn. If we had to adopt a different alphabet for nationalistic or cultural reasons Arabic wadaad script would be more suitable as it has more history in Somalia but even that would be a crazy idea. If you want to use this here and there that's cool , I'm no hater but realistically it won't become the alphabet of somalia . We are living in a global world where even Arabs chat with arabizi (asalam3laykom , kif 7alak etc) rather than actual Arabic script and you want to introduce an unknown system invented in the 100 years ago and quickly abandoned
This should be priority. Need to start teaching it right now.Great way to show we are a different ethnicity with a rich history not some disgruntled region suffering from 40-year xasuuq-induced PTSD
Impractical imo and slightly pointless. Would cost 10 + million for full scale adoption. I'm talking training costs/ updating documents/ digital integration. Not mentioning old heads are probably attached to the Latin script.

Brother , my argument still stands. It's cool don't get me wrong and it's nice to celebrate a great Somali polymath like Osman Kenadid but it's still not practical. Also PL is part of Somalia , immagine the mess if we had two different alphabets in the country. I'd say sure teach it in schools but it will never become prevalent, we should base our efforts in tackling illiteracy and most somalis use the latin alphabet.

I should have been more specific in saying Somali Latin script, yes. I thought that was pretty clear bud but for someone as mentally challenged as you I would expect you to be able to infer the meaning beyond my typing error.The LATIN alphabet was invented by Mareexaan?

You said what you said and it sounded dumb as usual. This is a thread about the Osmaniya script stop trying to derail with your jealousy and cuqdad.
I made a comment agreeing with OP, let us all use the scripts invented by our own people. I can't be jealous of MJ osmaniya script when nobody uses it, all of Somalia, DDS and NFD use Somali Latin alphabet. Your family most likely used Somali Latin alphabet, so does PL government and as with all other Somalis everywhere including here on sspot.
